I started doing a music playlist on Spotify to collect my favorite songs in J-Pop, City Pop and Future Funk in 2020, but I did not post that playlist outside of my Discord. So I decided to put my 2021 playlist here on my website, so people could more easily find it. I decided to combine everything in to one playlist since everything has roots in or utilizes content from Japan, and the playlists were much smaller on their own when separate. I hope everyone enjoys this playlist, and I’ll make sure this becomes a yearly post from here on out.
This list is not definitive, so please understand I may miss music. I spend a lot of time on my Top 100 K-Pop playlist and can’t always get to everything. <3
