Spiritualized – Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space – Rating: 3 / 5

When I was looking into this group and album, and read the words “English space rock band”, was ready to hate this album. To be fair though, it was pretty good. Outside of the run time, and a 17 minute long track, it was enjoyable enough that I’m not mad I listened through this once. Still not sure it deserves to be on this list.

Another synthwave album to give thoughts on today. After yesterday’s banger, it was going to be tough to follow up, and this album definitely lacked what made The G’s album so good. This was especially evident in the synthwave instrumentals. While they were fun, they really didn’t stand out much from other synthwave albums of the same caliber. What helped boost this album were the vocals. I am such a sucker for vocal synthwave, and it came in clutch for this one. Indigo’s singing voice is great, and made the listen all worth it.
