Blondie – Parallel Lines – Rating: 5 / 5

I’ve always been a fan of Blondie since I was a kid due to an appearance on The Muppets. You used to be able to rent VHS tapes of Muppets, and after rewatching it numerous times, it has kept One Way or Another in my head for decades. It is such an eternal earworm. The rest of the album is an absolute banger as well with how its able to blend styles like pop, rock, and some of the songs hitting that pop-punk vibe. Just an absolute classic album.

Lunar Vacation – Everything Matters, Everything’s Fire – Rating: 4.5 / 5

I found out about Lunar Vacation a year or two ago due to a sale on Bandcamp with their vinyl and I really enjoyed them. I think this latest album is even better than Inside Every Fig Is a Dead Wasp. As an indie rock band they’ve really polished up their sound, and the lead singer’s voice croons in a much more soothing way. At times I was getting vibes from 90s rock like Letters To Cleo or Liz Phair. I highly recommend this album, and while I’ve been scaling back vinyl purchases, I might have to snag this one!
