This wasn’t terrible, but it was forgettable sadly. I think forgettable is worse than just being bad, because this is an album I’ll never talk about after this or probably ever think about again. I mean I just finished listening to it, and I couldn’t tell you much about it. I just let it play and zoned out like it was nothing more than mere background noise.

YOUNG POSSE – ATE THAT EP – Rating: 4 /5

Still not a huge fan of the groups name, because when spoken with certain accents the word POSSE sounds awfully like another word. Honestly still not sure if that was intentional, but I hope not. Anyway this EP is only 4 tracks, so it’s clocking in around 12 minutes long. I have to say I continue to be impressed by YOUNG POSSE as they keep dropping new music. I wasn’t a huge fan of the debut, but enjoyed XXL EP and now ATE THAT EP as well. A lot of this album makes me reminisce on 90s girl groups that attempted to be hip hop focused at times like O-24, F.O.X, and others. YOUNG POSSE manages to take those vibes and give a modern spin that makes them feel a bit different than others doing the same. I don’t want to use the word unique, as I feel it would be overstating things, but they are definitely providing a nice change in the current state of K-Pop, though I wish this EP was a couple tracks longer.
