G-Nitro’s Daily Music Wrap-Up – 09/06/24

Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:

The Clash – London Calling – Rating: 3 / 5

To be honest I think this is just a fine and simple punk album. I can understand how in 1979 this was a banger since it was early on in the genre, but for my first listen in 2024, I just felt like this album was decent. I didn’t find anything super impressive about it, and at just over an hour long, it definitely overstayed its welcome.

Other albums:

Yung Bae – 6AE – Rating: 4.5 / 5

Yung Bae’s return to future with 6AE is a reminder of why I fell in love with future funk and why Yung Bae is on the Mount Rushmore of Future Funk. Teaming up with multiple artists like Vantage, Danny Quest, Life On Planets, etc., comes an album that gets you grooving from start to finish. Yung Bae produces such infectious tracks, so while you’re listening it doesn’t matter if you’re on your feet or sitting down. Your body will be moving right along with each song.
