Wilco – Yankee Hotel Foxtrot – Rating: 2 / 5

This album was just boring from start to finish. When I got their album Being There, I thought it was about as average as it gets. Unfortunately Yankee Hotel Foxtrot manages to be an even more boring venture in to their catalog. At this point I’m good with never hearing another Wilco album again.

Osaka Hood – Gangland Massacre – Rating: 5 / 5

This album is a grimy hip hop album by a trio of Japanese women that invokes yakuza vibes. When I say grimy I mean it. You aren’t getting some high pitched rapper over club or dance like hip hop beats. The ladies rap in a very down low tone over drill/trap like beats, giving off a dark, gritty vibe to the listeners ear. It’s one of the best Japanese hip hop albums I’ve heard in a long time, and I can’t recommend it enough. 5 out of 5 is the best score I can give out, but this album deserves it. I’ve listened to this album more than any other in the past few months since I bought it. Also I really want the album cover on a t-shirt.
