Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:
The Beatles – Rubber Soul – Rating: 3.5 / 5
I think this is a good Beatles album, but I don’t think it is consistent enough for me. The few times I’ve now listened to it, I find there to be songs I love and songs I think are just okay. Honestly, a lot of albums are like this for me and I just go its another Beatles album. I know that is blasphemy to some, but I have never been a huge fan even while enjoying much of their music. Even with this album having a huge influence over the industry in terms of album making, it doesn’t fully click with me. So for this one I’m giving it a 3.5, rounded up to a 4 on the challenge site.

Joosuc – Superior Vol. 1: This Iz My Life – Rating: 4.5 / 5
Another Korean album from the 2000s I decided to revist and this one really holds up well. This was Joosuc at his best, both in terms of his flow and the productions values. Many of the tracks production pulls influences from The Neptunes, Kanye, and others, and it works so well. The album is a mixture of grittier tracks, songs of romance, and upbeat club type tracks. This is one of those albums that Korean hip hop heads shouldn’t miss out on checking out.
