Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:
Frank Sinatra – In The Wee Small Hours – Rating: 4 / 5
This was a great pick to show up on a Sunday morning. Sinatra’s crooning always fits two scenarios for me. I am either relaxing in the morning (like today) with coffee while cuddling up to the dog, or late at night with my feet up on the ottoman and a drink in hand, also cuddling the dog.

O-24 – Live In Hip Hop – Rating: 4 / 5
Yesterday I posted a review of YOUNG POSSE, and in it I had mentioned the old school K-Pop girl group O-24. This spurred on my decision to revisit their first album. This first album still holds up really well as someone who enjoyed it back in 1999. Most of the album is on the rapping, even if their rapping style is the early K-Pop style that didn’t have much of a distinct flow and was just tossing words out loudly and aggressively. The album does break away to more of a pop sound for a couple songs, which are a fun break from the rapping on other songs. I’m not really sure this album will appeal to newer K-Pop fans, because the distinct style of rapping on albums like this are a stark contrast to the way it has been handled by K-Pop groups since.
