Ice T – O.G. Original Gangster – Rating: 4 / 5

Classic album from Ice T. I love the versatility Ice T shows in this album. He does some pure gangsta rap, some true hip hop spitting, and even introduces the rock group Body Count he started. While there is a lot of talk of violence and misogyny that can be a turn off, there is also a good amount of counterbalance with talks of struggles of the black experience, current affairs at the time, and even abuse children suffer. The only downside to this album is too many skits/interludes, so it consistently interrupts the flow of the album.

Sulaiman – Confidential Leaks – Rating: 4 / 5

Really good hip hop album I found via Bandcamp. Sulaiman has a really nice flow and lyrical content. He has a bit of a southern flair at times to his raps that compliments well. The album is only 26 minutes long, and while I wish it was a bit longer, it also means nothing feels like filler. So the album is a well crafted hip hop experience.
