G-Nitro’s Daily Music Wrap-Up – 09/09/24

Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:

Hugh Masekela – Home Is Where The Music Is – Rating: 5 / 5

I’ve heard a decent amount of Hugh’s stuff, but not this album. Even so, I knew this would be fire and there was no disappointment on that front. From start to finish this is an album full of jams to get you grooving. Funky jazz throughout and it was a great soundtrack to my Monday morning!

Other albums:

LL Cool J – The Force – Rating: 4 / 5

It’s been 11 years since LL Cool J dropped an album, and over 20 years since I enjoyed a release of his. This album is like a return to LL’s early days with a fusion of present day. Between Q-Tip’s production and some fire guest appearances in Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Busta Rhymes, and others. Had I not been busy, I would have hit that play button to listen to it all over again. It’s nice to hear LL Cool J can still bring it in 2024.
