Pure fire! This album had me wanting to get up and groove right along with it. Infectious energy from Sam Cooke here, and I love how the crowd would get involved and sing along. This album deserves its spot on the 1001 Albums list!

If you saw a new RZA album and then found out it was a classical project, you probably sat there and had expectations of a grimy or experimental classical hip hop experience. I did too, but this is 100% just a classical album from the RZA, nothing hip hop about it in any sense. Also it’s really damn good, and deserves a listen. I know it wasn’t what I expected, but it was fantastic!
