Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:
Big Brother & The Holding Company – Cheap Thrills – Rating: 4 / 5
Before today, I had no clue that Janis Joplin ever sang in a band. So that was a nice piece of information I learned. It’s also welcoming because I love her voice a lot, as it always felt filled with a surprising amount of soul, and it is a much needed addition when it comes to this style of rock. I doubt I would have enjoyed this album as much without her on it, but with her singing this album is an absolute joy to listen to.

Other albums:
Sala – EVERY HOUR – Rating: 3.5 / 5
I put this album on because I needed something that fit right into about 30 minutes for a task I was doing. I has never heard of Sala before, and I have to say it was a pretty8 fun album that had good production, singing, and overall great vibes. My only issue that while it was a very good J-Pop album, it’s not memorable enough to be an album I’d constantly revisit. Regardless, people should definitely check it out since I think it’s worth a listen even if its not one to put on repeat.
