G-Nitro’s Daily Music Wrap-Up – 10/28/24

Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:

PJ Harvey – Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea – Rating: 4 / 5

The last time I got PJ Harvey it was her album Let England Shake, and I did not find it enjoyable at all. I ended up bailing in the middle of the album, and giving it a 2 out of 5 on the challenge site. This album is much better and it reminded me that PJ Harvey has always been hit or miss for me. I’m glad this pick was on the list, because it was a bit of a redemption. There was only one song I wasn’t too keen on, but the rest of the album was really damn good. Probably some of her best work on this one.

Other Albums:

Pom Pom Squad – Mirror Starts Moving Without Me – 4.25 / 5

Pom Pom Squad delivers a really fun pop album with catchy lyrics and a bit of rock vibes at times. The album has a bit more edge than a pure pop sound, but the lyrics are still catchy enought to get stuck in your head. I was reminded me of artists like Kailee Morgue and Maty Noyes who I really enjoy. I recommend checking this one out if you like pop music like this.
