Daily 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die selection:

The Magnetic Fields – 69 Love Songs – Rating 1 / 5

3 hours! This damn album is almost 3 hours long, and I  respect my time more than that. After about 5 songs, I realized this was not for me. Vinyl Moon 108: Gato à l’Orange – Music Rating: 4 / 5 – Vinyl/Packaging Rating: 5 / 5

A solid compilation of indie rock and pop acts. All of the songs were solid to great, with a nice variety shifting between rock and pop. The entire album was more on the mellow side, which made for a nice Sunday morning listen. My favorite track was “Put the Blame on Me” by Limandi . Vinyl Moon put together really nice packaging per usual, with a bonus poster and keychain. The vinyl variant is a nice tricolor that matches the theme of the outer sleeve.

Miki Matsubara – Revue – Music Rating: 4.25 / 5 – Vinyl/Packaging Rating: 4.5 / 5

This is a 2024 repress of Matsubara’s 1983 album, and it sounds great. The album delves nicely into the city pop style Matsubara did so well, but some songs leaned a bit heavier toward pure pop. The clear red vinyl played with no issues and sounded great. The outer sleeve is saturday, and including an inner sleeve with a plastic sleeve as well.
