Bob Marley & The Wailers – Natty Dread – Rating: 5 / 5

What a pleasant surprise this album choice was this morning. Bob Marley is one of the goats, and this album was just the perfect soundtrack to my morning. While No Woman, No Cry is not the version that gets the most play, it is still fun to listen to the non-Live recording and hear the differences.

Black x Sea – Every Tree Shall Fall: One – Rating: 5 / 5

My rating is for the music and entire vinyl packaging. From the front cover artwork to the amazing screen printing on Side B that blends nicely with the Black Ice and white splatter variant. Graveface knocked it out of the park. The music is a mixture of ambient, electronic, dream pop, and rock. It flows beautifully from start to finish, and I don’t normally reference official descriptions, but they aren’t lying when they say it is a captivating 22 minute long journey.

Get Your Genki – Compilation Vol. 12 – Rating: 4.5 / 5

Another fantastic mix of more underground J-Rock and J-Pop bands. The variety is so vast, this volume started off with a pure J-Pop song, and then moved in to rock pretty quickly, then kept bouncing around genres to keep things fresh for a long ride of Japanese music goodness. Even if you don’t want cassettes, I highly recommend checking out all the volumes that can be had pretty cheaply on their Bandcamp. It’s definitely worth your time and money!
